Kathleen N. Lampesis

Dover- Kathleen Nancy “Kay” Lampesis, 80, of Rollinsford, passed away on May 23, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare of Dover after a lengthy, heroic battle with MS.

She was born August 19, 1931 in Providence, Rhode Island the daughter of the late Walter V. George and Agnes (McArdle) George. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Peter T. Lampesis, M.D.

She attended and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Dover and received her RN degree from Wentworth Hospital School of Nursing.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love of family, friends, and the community was the center of her life. Her hospitality was legendary and her loving heart truly made her one of a kind.

She was a founder of the Rollinsford PTA and was active in politics. Once her children were grown, she managed her husband's medical office and was beloved by many of the patients for her kindness and compassion.

Kathleen is survived by her children: Carole Choti and husband Michael A. Choti, M.D. of Lutherville, MD, Diane Fenske and her husband Bruce of Manalapan, NJ, Kathleen A. Lampesis, and Peter T. Lampesis Jr. and his wife Rea of Rollinsford, NH; her grandsons: Brian, Eric, and Peter Fenske, Peter III and Harry Lampesis; her sister, Mary Hartman and husband Gilbert of Dover, her sisters-in-law: Anna Russillo of Rollinsford, NH and Angela Johns of Topsfield, MA, her many nieces and nephews, and her dear friend, Rhoda Spencer of S. Berwick, ME.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, May 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Avenue, Dover, NH.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday May 26th at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Mary Church (corner of Chestnut and Thirds Sts.) at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Annunciation Cemetery.
