Patricia H. Moore
Dover, NH – Patricia H. Moore (Pomeroy), 80 of Dover died peacefully on June 8, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 4, 1932 in Ware, Massachusetts, the daughter of Herbert and Hilda (Kelley) Pomeroy and has resided in Dover all of her life. Pat grew up on Back River Road and graduated in the Class of 1950 from St. Mary’s High School. She met her true love Ken during the summer of 1950 and married in September 1952. They began their lives together on the Avenue in Dover and moved to their home in 1957. They have spent many happy years raising their five children and making many longtime friends near and far.
Pat worked throughout the years at each of the Dover Elementary Schools as a playground monitor, Librarian and Teacher Aid until retiring in 1992.
Pat enjoyed traveling to various destinations in the World. She treasured the many trips she took with her children and grandchildren to Disney and on Disney Cruises. Pat enjoyed entertaining family for any occasion, which always included a special cake and in the winter months a cozy warm fire on the porch. She will be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Members of her family include her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Moore of Dover; her children, David of Pensacola, Florida, Katie Moore of Dover, Suzanne and Dennis Richmond of Pensacola, Florida, Lori and Brian Bardwell of Barrington and Russell and Tami Moore of Dover; 8 grandchildren (critters), Cory Moore, Mandy Barriball, Kerr Richmond, Kelly Semertgakis, Christopher Moore, Jaime Bardwell, Marc Bardwell and Samuel Moore; 5 great grandchildren, Sarah, Shawn, Aidan, Emma and Whitney; one sister, Leona Thompson of Madbury; two brothers, Robert Pomeroy of California and Richard Pomeroy of Union; and several nieces, nephews and her special cousins Verna, Kathy and Jane.
She was predeceased by her son, Michael Moore June 27, 2000, her father Herbert, mother Hilda, and brothers William and John and daughter-in-law Kat.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Parish of the Assumption, St. Joseph Church, 150 Central Ave., Dover. Burial will follow in St. Mary New Cemetery.
