Kenneth M. Toland, Sr.
Rochester- Kenneth M. Toland, Sr., 70, of Eagle Drive died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on Tuesday July 24, 2012.
Born September 17, 1941 in Exeter the son of Frank M and Bernadette (LaBranche) Toland. He worked as a painter for the F.A. Gray in Portsmouth.
He was a member and Past Commander of the Dover Sons of the American Legion. He was a Commander of the American Legion Post 8 Color Guard. He was a former member of the Dover Elks and the Newmarket Eagles. He loved working in the yard and tending to his gardens. He also had a passion for NASCAR racing. He loved his family deeply but had a special place in his heart for his wife Cyndi.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Cynthia A. (Pinkham) Toland; two sons, Michael Toland and his wife Rhonda of Dover and Kenneth Toland Jr. and his wife Catherine of Eliot, ME; a daughter Michelle Atherton and her husband Richard of Somersworth; three brothers, Frank M. Toland Jr., Fred Toland and Daniel Toland; a half brother Albert Loranger; a sister Veronica LaRoche; five step-children, Robert Day and his fiancé Gayle, Richard Day and his wife Shelley, Thomas Obrey, Jr, Brian Labrecque and Tracy Kastberg and her husband James; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Thursday July 26, 2012 from 4-5 pm at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave Dover, NH. A service will follow at the Funeral Home.
