Angelica B. Lee

Somersworth - Angelica Bodky Lee, 83, passed away on August 18, 2012 following a brief illness. Angelica was born in 1929 Berlin Germany to Erwin Bodky and Lilli (Steinitz) Bodky. She immigrated to the Netherlands in 1933 and to the United States in 1938.

Angelica was a graduate of The Shady Hill School in Cambridge, The Cambridge School of Weston, and continued her education at the Museum of Fine Arts Museum School. She practiced as a professional sculptress for forty years, creating large works in wood, stone and bronze. She taught clay modeling and carving in the various media at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln MA. She also enjoyed playing the flute and other wind instruments with friends and family.

Angelica married Roger Ken Lee on June 10, 1955 in Watertown, MA They primarily lived in Watertown and summered in Magnolia, MA.

Angelica is survived by her sons Matthew H. Lee and his wife Claire Lee and Nathaniel A. Lee and his wife Mara Lee. She is survived by eleven grandchildren Roberta, Marcela, Abigail, Stephen, Fernanda, Jacob, Jessica, Fabiana, Josh, Benjamin, Randall, and three great grandchildren Stephania, Raphael, and Allesandro.

Memorial services are private to the family. Arrangements are by Tasker Funeral Home in Dover, NH.
