Eva P. Ballard
Dover – Eva P. Ballard, 93, died Thursday September 6, 2012 at Riverside Rest Home after a period of failing health.
Born in Dover February 25, 1919 the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Labonte) Drouin. Being a Navy wife, Eva traveled and lived in Virginia Beach, VA and California.
Eva had worked at miller Shoe Co. and retired from Clarostat Manufacturing Co.
She was a member of St. Charles Church.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Lucia Richard, Azilda Hannan, Aline Pelletier, Alma Pettis, Angeline Goodwin, Antoinette Batho, Ludivine Therrien, and her brothers Phillip, George, Ernest, Charles, Edward, Arthur and Leontine Drouin.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful loving care that Eva received at Riverside Rest Home – they all treated her like she was their special aunt.
Friends are invited to call Sunday September 9th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Mary Church, corner of Chestnut & Third Sts. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.
