Helen A. Turk
Dover – Helen Turk, 92, died Sunday September 9, 2012 at St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born in Monessen, PA, June 9, 1920 the daughter of Andrew and Stephanie (Bucar) Plevel.
Helen had a dynamic career that took her all over the world as a buyer for Estee Lauder, Merle Norman and Saks Fifth Avenue. From a young age Helen owned her own business and was a member of the Quota club. In 1978 she was elected the International President of the Quota club and traveled the world speaking at conferences and motivating women business owners.
She retired to San Jose, California and later Jacksonville, Florida, and came to Dover a short time ago.
She was predeceased by her daughter Helen M. Turk and is survived by her sister Mildred Yakopcic of Pittsburgh, PA, a niece Karla Yakopcic-Blunier and her husband Jeff Blunier and their children Nicholas and Alexander all of Dover, a nephew George Yakopcic and his wife Rose and their son Christopher of Cleveland, OH.
Funeral services will be held in San Jose, CA, with entombment with her daughter in the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, mausoleum, San Jose, CA.
Local arrangements are being handled by the Tasker Funeral Home, Dover, NH.
